This store is an institution and a Hollywood Legend! Where is the petition to stop the closure? Why aren't any big name film makers stepping up to help (I'm looking at you Tarantino, Scorcese, and Lynch)?

Sure Netflicks and Redbox give you blockbusters, and there's streaming, but both of those are seriously flawed. Rocket gives you SUBSTANCE!
Show me a director or screenwriter today who doesn't owe a great deal to indie vid stores like this and the incredibly gifted, intelligent and valuable employees that work there. I would have never made it through film school without Rocket Video (and their ilk).
First the indie bookstores and now this. I'm scared to death of these beautiful and important films, the kind Rocket Video showcases, becoming lost to future generations without easy access to them.
